Advanced Vibration Analysis/Category III Compliant

DESCRIPTION:

Arrelic’s Vibration Analysis the Category-III course covers, for people who are confident with spectrum analysis but who wish to push on and learn more about signal processing, time waveform and phase analysis, cross-channel testing, machine dynamics, and fault correction. It also helps in how to compute statistical alarms, and application of advanced FFT techniques (i.e. Synchronous Time Averaging, Order Tracking and Demodulation) and time domain analysis on a variety of machine assemblies.

CONTENT:

    Select the appropriate machinery vibration analysis technique

  • Specify the appropriate vibration instrumentation hardware and software for both portable and permanently installed systems
  • Establish vibration monitoring programs, including the determination of machines for periodic and continuous monitoring, frequency of testing, and route plans
  • Perform single plane field balancing
  • Measure and perform diagnosis of single channel frequency spectra, as well as time domain plots such as waveforms and orbits, under both steady-state and unsteady operating conditions, with or without a phase trigger.
  • Use acceleration enveloping (demodulation)
  • Establish and implement the use of statistical overall level alarms, spectral band alarms, and narrowband spectral alarms
  • Establish programs for the specification of vibration levels and acceptance criteria for new machinery
  • Measure and analyse basic operating deflection shapes
  • You will learn to diagnose all of the common faults conditions with rolling element and sleeve bearing machines, by utilizing time waveforms, phase readings and other techniques to diagnose faults. You will also learn machine dynamics (natural frequencies, resonance, etc.) and how to perform resonance testing and correct resonance problems
  • How to analyse vibration spectra, time waveform, envelope, and phase measurement
